Technical Level: Easy
There may be times when you want to turn off online scheduling without closing your clinic to walk-in patients. This can be done easily by visiting
(where 'xxx' is the unique clinic ID for your clinic: you can find this value by looking at the URLs for your patient queue and nurse screen).
The Urgent Care Online Scheduling button is located near the top of the page immediately below the Special Hours configuration. The button is green when online scheduling is 'ON', and red when online scheduling is 'OFF'. You need not click the green Save Changes button after toggling this button: the change is immediate and a confirmation message informing you of the change will be displayed upper left.
You can also change the unavailable online message which is shown on the online registration page during this time. The unavailable online message is normally shown during times when online scheduling is not available, e.g., when the office is closed, But it is also shown when the Urgent Care Online Scheduling button is turned 'OFF'. The default messages is as follows:
There are no visit times available for online scheduling right now. If this message appears during normal office hours, you can still come to the facility and you'll be seen based on the order of arrival.
However, you can change this message to more accurately reflect the reason for the outage, e.g., inclement weather, holidays, and/or loss of services such as electricity or water. Once you make the change to this verbiage, you will need to scroll down the page and click the green Save Changes button to preserve your changes.
There are other restrictions which control online scheduling. These will be covered in separate knowledge articles regarding settings and online registration. See also 'Configuring Online Restrictions' (http://clockwisemd.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/2217696-configuring-online-restrictions).
