Technical Level: Easy
Clockwise.MD will use the number of available exam rooms in your clinic to calculate the 'velocity', or number of patients per hour that can be seen, especially if your empty exam room velocity is configured to be different than your default velocity (see also How to Adjust Velocity in Clockwise.MD (http://clockwisemd.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/2236020-how-to-adjust-velocity-in-clockwise-md)).
The number of exam rooms can be configured in the new settings page
(where 'xxx' is the unique ID of your clinic; this value can be found by looking at the URL of the patient queue and nurse screen pages). Scroll down to the Exam Rooms section and enter the number of available exam rooms in the Default: dialog box to the far right. Scroll down and click the green Save Changes button to preserve your entry/modification.
Some clinics may have differing numbers of exam rooms available at different times through the week. If this is the case, you can use the exam rooms configuration to have it automatically adjust this number up or down depending on the day of the week.
If your clinic with eight exam rooms shared space with another queue having four rooms Monday through Friday, but had access to those additional four rooms on Saturdays and Sundays, you could configure Clockwise to add those rooms automatically on Saturday and Sunday.
From the pulldown, select Saturday and the Start and End times at which the rooms were available. Enter the total number of rooms available for this day ('12' in this case), then click the plus symbol at the beginning of the row. Do this again for Sunday, then scroll down and click the green Save Changes button to preserve your changes. NOTE: this setting can only be configured for the day-of-the-week and is NOT expiring, i.e, it cannot be set for a specific date/time.
